ACCEPTABLE ROOFS

The Architectural Review Board (ARB) is responsible for maintaining the “look” and “character” of the homes in Park Estates.  Over time, roofs have to be repaired or even replaced.  The CC&R’s for the various tracts that make up Park Estates have differing requirements for replacement roofs.

Below is a list of approved roofing materials as specified in the CC&R’s for each tract:

Tract No.             Acceptable Roofing Materials

14674                   Wood Shakes/Shingles; Cement Shingles; Slate; Curved Tile

14675                   Wood Shakes/Shingles; Cement Shingles; Slate; Curved Tile

15545                   Wood Shakes/Shingles; Cement Shingles; Slate; Curved Tile; Rock Granules

15836                   Wood Shakes/Shingles; Cement Shingles; Slate; Curved Tile

22718                   Wood Shakes/Shingles; Rock Granules

Please note that Composite Roofing material is not allowed in any tract.

All homeowners replacing their roofs are required to get ARB approval of their proposed roofing materials, even if the proposed roofing materials are the same as the existing roof materials.  Failure to obtain approval from the ARB may result in fines, liens and/or construction delays while the issues are worked out.  In some instances, unauthorized roofs will have to be removed and replaced at the sole expense of the owner.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
